Farewell Uganda – Our Hearts Are Full

March 24, 2017 0 comments Article Uganda Maureen

Today we say goodbye to all our dear friends in Uganda.

We have known such special people here…

This morning we traveled to one of the many communities under the mentorship of our friend, Father Francis. Here, we visited his vocational school. This is where they teach life skills such as sewing, cooking and hairdressing for the girls. The boys are taught construction, plumbing, welding and auto mechanics. The graduates are all placed in solid, good paying jobs upon completion. As we toured all the different hands-on facilities, we were very impressed.

Today we say goodbye to all our dear friends in Uganda. We have known such special people here, people who are devoted to making the lives of others better.

The Ugandan people are deeply rooted in culture, identity, family, and religion. They are resilient, proud, and grateful. They have touched our hearts.
