We left Mtunthama around 8:00 this morning squished into two vehicles with a ridiculous amount of luggage jammed in all around us.
This morning we walked over to Jackie and Peter’s house to pick up Jackie for our menstrual management class.
11 Tailors graduate from the Mtunthama Sewing Guild! We woke to such a pretty day. The air was cool and clear and those fluffy white clouds filled the sky. One of my favorite parts of life here has been to walk to our sewing center first thing in the morning. We pass through the village
Though today had it’s frustrations, all in all, it was a happy successful day.
7 women showed up today to sew. Two of them hadn’t come yesterday so we had to work hard to get them up to speed.
It’s Easter Sunday! We spent 4 hours in church today. This village has been building a new church for 4 years now.
We met 7 lovely women at the offices of K2-TASO, an organization that does medical outreach in remote areas of Malawi.
We flew into Lilongwe airport mid day, made our way through customs, visa procurement, baggage claim and money exchange. Phoebe showed up while we were in line for our visas. Yippee!
We headed for Kagoma Gate at 9:00 this morning. Big puffy clouds shone against brilliant blue sky.
